And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: —Hebrews 9:27

What happens next depends on where we place our trust today. For those going through hard times, the choice to hold faith over fear can feel impossible.

Yet when we learn to place ourselves in the hands of God, we find a peace that nothing in this world can offer.

Why We Struggle With Fear

The Bible teaches that every human being is born into a cursed world. This is because during the time of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and the punishment for that sin was passed down to all of us.

As Dr. Mosley writes, “We are living in bodies that have been cursed! No good thing can come from a cursed body.”

This explains why we face sickness, money problems, broken relationships, and death. The curse of Adam and Eve’s sin also explains why fear comes so naturally to us.

Many people want to fix these problems on their own. Thus, they work harder, worry more, and look for answers in money, medicine, or other people.

But these things cannot remove the curse.

Only divine intervention can change what is broken inside us. When we understand that God is the only one who can save us, we stop trusting in our own strength and start trusting in His.

To Be in the Hands of God

To be in the hands of God means more than just believing in His existence. It means surrendering your life to Him and admitting you cannot fix yourself and accepting that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins.

“Redemption means that He purchased us back from the god of this world, and He offers this to every man, woman, and child as a free gift to everyone that believes it and places their trust and faith in Christ.”

When you place your life in His hands, you no longer have to fear death, sickness, or the future. You are held by the sovereignty of God; He is in control of everything. No matter what happens in the news, in your home, or in your body, God has not lost control.

He works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Grace During Hard Times

Hard times reveal what we truly believe. When everything is going well, it is easy to say we trust God.

But when the storm comes, our real foundation shows.

This is where the power of divine grace becomes realized in the life of a believer.

Grace is God’s undeserved favor, not something we earn but a gift.

“Grace is unmerited favor from God for everyone who believes it.”

Even when you feel weak, even when you fail, even when you do not understand what God is doing, His grace holds you.

You do not have to be strong enough on your own. Simply rest in the hands of God and let His grace carry you through.

God’s Providence in Our Lives

Many people worry about tomorrow, wondering if they will have enough money, enough health, or enough strength.

But the Bible teaches that God already knows what you need.

This is God’s providence, providing for His children. While He does not always give us everything we want, He always gives us what we need for our eternal good.

When we hold faith over fear, we stop looking at our problems and start looking at our Provider. We remember that the same God who created the heavens and the earth is the same God who watches over us.

“We must view ourselves as God views us. He is the potter and we are the clay.”

The clay does not tell the potter what to do, for it trusts the potter’s hands. In the same way, we trust the hands of God to shape our lives according to His perfect will.

The Manifestation of Divine Power

When a person truly believes, there is a change on the inside: a manifestation of divine power that is not about performing miracles or speaking in tongues but about a heart that is no longer ruled by fear.

Dr. Mosley explains that when the Holy Spirit comes into a person’s life, He convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

This work of the Spirit gives us a new mind and a new way of living.

Fear loses its grip when the Spirit of God lives inside you, and you begin to see your circumstances differently. There are still hard times, but you face them with peace. You still cry, but you cry with hope. There is still hurting, but you know the hurt is not the end of your story.

This is what it means to experience the power of divine grace every day.

Why You Cannot Save Yourself

One of the hardest life lessons is learning that you cannot save yourself. No amount of good behavior, church attendance, or charitable work can remove the curse of sin.

“There is no cursed thing going to Heaven…only that which is perfect! God is perfect, sinless, undefiled, and holy!”

This truth humbles us, forcing us to stop relying on our own goodness and start relying on the only One who is truly good.

Jesus Christ lived the perfect life we could not live, dying the death we deserved to die. And He rose again so that everyone who believes in Him can be made right with God.

When you place your faith in Him, His righteousness becomes your righteousness. Your sins no longer judge you, for you are covered by His blood.

Living a Life Without Blinders

Too many people go through life with blinders on, focusing on the ephemeral and material things of this world—money, success, pleasure—and ignoring the eternal reality waiting for them after death.

“Physical death is not the end, it is just the beginning of an eternity in the lake of fire!”

This is a serious warning that every person must consider.

But for those who believe, death is not something to fear, for it is the door that leads to eternal life with God. When you hold faith over fear, you can face anything—even the end of your life—with confidence.

You know that your name is written in the Book of Life, and you know that you are held securely in the hands of God.

If this message has helped you understand the importance of trusting God, there is so much more to learn.

Dr. Julius Mosley II’s Living Life with Blinders On explains these truths in greater detail and will undoubtedly help you see clearly what God has done for you and how you can live with purpose and peace.
